Special wartime menu signifies D Day at St Georges

The residents of St George Care Centre celebrated D Day in style this week with a patriotic themed dinner.

The Dining Room was decorated with flags and aeroplanes and staff wore tin helmets whilst they served up a special wartime menu consisting of Sausage Stovie with Bubble & Squeak, followed by Rice Pudding and Strawberry Junket. The residents enjoyed the distinctive meal whilst listening to music from the war years.

Located near St George Park, this purpose-built home provides residential and specialist nursing care for up to 68 people.
