Southlands Place raise £125 for Macmillan

Southlands Place care home in Bexhill-on-Sea hosted a World’s Biggest Coffee Morning on Friday 29th September and are delighted to announce we have helped change lives and raised the fantastic amount of £125.00, to help Macmillan make sure no one has to face cancer alone.

The event was really successful with lots of friends and families attending. The Southlands Place Chef cooked up a storm and served some fabulous cakes along with lots more kindly baked and brought in by relatives and members of our team, which everyone enjoyed with lots of tea, coffee, chatter and laughter.

We were also delighted to welcome local singer Les Ryan who kept us all entertained in style.

Katie Brewster, Home Manager said:

“We would like to say thank you so much to our incredible residents, team, family members and volunteers who raised a fantastic £125 for Macmillan Cancer Support by coming in with a yummy array of cakes and coffees. Every slice really does help change lives!”

“What a wonderful day it has been inviting guests, new and old, into our home and all in aid to help us raise money for such a good cause.”

At Southlands Place we provide the highest standards of residential, nursing and specialist dementia care for up to 71 elderly people.
