Sounds of the Sixties at Hulcott in Aylesbury

‘Sounds of the Sixties’ set the scene for our residents in our recent musical extravaganza at Hulcott Nursing Home in Aylesbury.

As part of our full and varied activity schedule at Hulcott, we planned a musical themed session for our residents, which we held in our conservatory and they were all very eager and keen to join in.

Out came the tambourines, symbols and maracas for an hour of fun, laughter and music.

Knowing all the words, the residents (and some of our care team too) excelled at singing along with the familiar sixties tunes and the home was filled with the sound of music.

Margaret Smart, Home Manager said:

“This was a great opportunity for the residents to engage with music and each other, reminisce about the songs they remembered and most of all have fun.”

The sixties session proved to be so popular the residents requested a rock n roll session next week!

For those of our residents who like to keep up with current affairs, we provide a range of newspapers. Andrew one of our newest residents spent time in the garden on the patio catching up with the news over a coffee and biscuits.

Pip our Activities Coordinator always encourages residents to spend some time in the garden when weather permits.
