Singing for Marie Curie

Local singing duo, Curly and Crusher, otherwise known as The Pastimers, regularly entertain residents at Magna Care Centre in Wimborne. The local singers are firm favourites amongst residents and it is well known that they sing to raise money for charity. This year, they entertained residents, relatives and staff at Magna’s cream tea afternoon in July and donated the money that was raised throughout the day to Marie Curie.

On Tuesday 23rd August, residents and staff were thrilled to present Curly and Crusher with a cheque for £50 for the money raised at the cream tea afternoon.

“It’s fantastic that The Pastimers are so involved with charities and entertain for such worthy causes” said Cheryl, Activities Coordinator at Magna Care Centre; “They are firm favourites amongst our residents and we love welcoming them into the home. The wellbeing of our residents is of the utmost importance to us at Magna and our diverse and varied activities provision assists with this. We keep things varied and of course, ask our residents what they prefer to do to ensure they are always enjoying themselves!”
