Residents and staff at Southlands Place Care Home, are delighted that a design by resident Pat Webb has been used as the inspiration for the company’s Christmas campaign this year.
The distinctive, colourful, Christmas tree baubles design including the words Friendship, Thanks and Hope is being used to help promote festive stays at Caring Homes 70 care homes across the country. It will be seen on banners, flyers and advertisements as well as in newspapers and on social media.
Pat, who has been a resident at Southlands Place, in Bexhill-on-Sea, since December 2020, especially enjoys the regular arts and crafts activities at the home and is proud that her design has been chosen.
“As a child I loved doing arts and crafts and I still do now, it keeps me busy,” she said, adding that her design was inspired by her love of Christmas and all the decorations which go up at this time of year. “I love Christmas time and am looking forward to seeing my family and grandchildren over the festive period this year as well as the Christmas carol events and the party planned for everyone here at Southlands Place. I can remember loving a family Christmas as a child and when I was married Charlie and I used to work the stalls all year and then go abroad and spend Christmas in the warm somewhere nice.”
Southlands Place Customer Relationship Advisor Lee Warren said, “Pat loves to be involved with all the art workshops. It’s no surprise that she was asked to have her design used over the business. She is so good at what she does.”
In addition to being the company corporate design for 2021 Pat’s design will also be made into a printed Christmas card to be sent out by Southlands Place this year. Caring Homes has given every home the opportunity to design and print their own card with residents, relatives and community groups all getting involved.
Caring Homes was established in 1994 by registered nurse Helena Jeffery and her son Paul. Since then the company has grown to become one of the most highly respected independent care and support providers in the UK with 70 homes across the country and it remains family run.
