Rendlesham’s Colourful Coffee Morning

Rendlesham Care Home welcomed friends, relatives and the local community this week as they took part in the ‘World’s Biggest Coffee Morning’ organised by the national charity, MacMillan Cancer Support.

The annual event, which is always a colourful occasion, raised over £70 for the important cause. There are an estimated 2 million people living with cancer in the UK, which is due to grow to 4 million by 2030. As such, the charity MacMillan Cancer Support is working hard to increase the medical, emotional, practical and financial support available to those living with cancer and their loved ones. According the MacMillan website, the £70 raised by Rendlesham could help to run a large Macmillan information and support centre for an hour.

Located on outskirts of the village of the same name, Rendlesham is a purpose-built care home exceptional residential, nursing and specialist dementia care for up to 60 elderly people.
