Rendlesham Discuss the EU

At Rendlesham Care Centres’ monthly Monday club, ‘Residents and the Community’, we held a discussion all about the EU. Should we stay or should we go? We talked about what it was like before the EU and if we could  go it alone again as just Great Britain.

We found that there are 28 countries in the EU, which we didn’t know. We read the information David Cameron had put forward about what he wanted for us as a country, then we read about what he had achieved for us so far.

Some of us were undecided on the matter. We took a vote on this and out of 12 we had 5 Yes, 5 don’t knows and only 2 nos. We found this a very interesting topic and will no doubt be discussing this again with the information we receive and the voting just around the corner!

We were surprised at how much we learnt, some of the residents commented that there would be a lot we would never know!
