Proud to be a Regional Finalist

Caring Homes (part of the Caring Homes Group) is delighted to be shortlisted for the regional finals of the National Apprenticeship Awards 2018.
An accredited national provider of care support and accommodation, Caring Homes Group employs over 5,600 of which 358 are apprentices who cover a number of disciplines including Health & Social Care and Management. As a large employer, we have been selected as a regional finalist in the category; Macro Employer of the year (5000+ employees).

Carol Corstin, Training Manager for Caring Homes Group said, “Being chosen as a regional finalist for the National Apprenticeship Awards 2018 is an amazing testament to the quality of the work we at Caring Homes Group are doing in evidencing our commitment to developing colleagues to continue providing the highest quality care and support. Apprenticeships really can open the door to a whole new world!”
We are proud that through collaboration with Qube Learning we have developed and launched a bespoke Assistant Care Practitioner Apprenticeship that is already relieving the pressures we face in the recruitment and retention of Nurses.

We are committed to workforce development, and in line with our strategy are enhancing our Senior Care Assistants role and promoting nursing as a vocation. Caring Homes Groups’ implementation is re-energising these roles and offers our apprentices excellent career progression.

Adrian Grove, Business Development Director at Qube Learning added,

“We’re delighted that Caring Homes Group has been chosen as a regional finalist for the National Apprenticeship Awards. They are a great example of how Apprenticeships can benefit employees and those in need of care and support. Caring Homes Group are a business who continually invest in the development of their employees and continue to thrive within this sector. We wish them the best of luck at the awards!”

In our drive to seek and attract more apprentices we will be working with local NEETS, schools and colleges promoting apprenticeships to young/disadvantaged people through open days, taster sessions and social media raising awareness amongst thousands of potential apprentices each year.

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update
To Whom it may concern,

RE: A message from the CEO and Clinical Director

At Caring Homes we are following the latest Government advice and stopping visitors to all our homes, except for essential visits by healthcare professionals who will be required to adhere to strict protocols.

We understand that this may be very difficult for families but we are clear in our duty to ensure we protect the health, safety and wellbeing of our Residents and Colleagues as our top priority.

We want you to know that you can contact your loved ones through calls, emails, video and social media and we will support our Residents to view any messages you send over. We are confident that the teams in our homes are doing all they can to ensure that life remains as comfortable and sociable as possible. There will be a full programme of activities delivered by our in-house health and wellbeing teams.

We hope you will understand and support these actions and any further subsequent measures we might need to put in place.

Yours sincerely

Paul Jeffery – Chief Executive Officer

Frank Cummins – Clinical Director
