Poppies at Rendlesham Care Cetre

Last week the residents at Rendlesham Care Centre in Suffolk were busy creating a number of poppy decorations to make a beautiful display to mark Remembrance Sunday and the 100 year anniversary.

It gave the residents a chance to get involved to mark a day of importance to them and the opportunity to do some arts and craft activities, which is a great way to keep hands and minds busy while exercising stiff fingers and getting together in a friendly group. Getting involved in crafts can be a soothing outlet and it was great to see the residents express their creative side.

Their display was well received by the community and the local branch of the Royal British Legion popped in and we also received thanks from the local parish council who came by to have a look.

At Rendlesham Care Centre in Suffolk we provide the highest standards of residential, nursing and dementia care for up to 60 elderly residents. You can find us by Rendlesham Forest on the outskirts of the village.
