Pomander making proves popular at East Hill House

Christmas preparations were well underway at East Hill House this week, with a number of the residents making festive pomanders to decorate the Hampshire home.

Pomanders are made from oranges studded with cloves and spices and were used in medieval times to mask nasty odours around the house. The residents enjoyed getting involved in making the festive ornaments, whilst reminiscing about childhood memories of making similar decorations in time for Christmas.

Located in the village of Liss, East Hill House provides high quality residential and specialist dementia care for up to 35 elderly people in a unique setting.
