‘Owls about Town’ come to Walstead Place

Residents at Walstead Place in West Sussex enjoyed an insightful visit from the ‘Owls about Town’ recently.

The local company, which has around a dozen owls in total, brought along a barn owl, a tawny owl and an eagle owl. The residents were learnt about each of the owls and were even given the opportunity to hold them.

The team from the company were very helpful during the day, taking the owls on a tour of the 19th Century home to meet residents who were in their rooms. The team at Walstead are already planning a return visit, possibly to put on a hawk display for the home’s garden party.

Located in the quietly beautiful hamlet of Walstead, just a mile from Lindfield, Walstead Place is a magnificent 19th century country squire’s residence, sensitively converted to provide the highest standard of residential care and nursing care for up to 41 discerning elderly ladies and gentlemen.
