Mount Pleasant residents take a trip to the National Brewery Centre

A small group of residents from Mount Pleasant Care Home in Burton-upon-Trent took a trip recently to the local National Brewery Centre.

The centre celebrates the social history of the development of brewing through the real life experiences and stories of the people who helped to build Burton’s world-renowned brewing reputation.

Residents Penny Manning, Tom Brooks, Jack Myatt and Christine Trewsdale enjoyed a guided tour exploring every aspect of the brewing process. The residents had a wonderful time, topped off by a lovely cup of tea and a scone in the café and a visit to the gift shop for some mementos of the day.

Located on the edge of Staffordshire’s Burton-upon-Trent and enjoying beautiful views of the National Forest and Derbyshire countryside, Mount Pleasant is a modern purpose-built care home providing residential and specialist dementia care for up to 50 elderly people.
