Moorlands get spooky for Halloween

Moorlands Nursing Home residents and team enjoyed some Halloween themed fun this week with some spooky goings on at their home in Lightwater, Surrey.

Preparations began promptly to ensure our annual Halloween event would not go unnoticed, and our pumpkin carvings commenced early on in the week with great excitement and much discussion.

Our team and residents enjoyed carving their pumpkins and then getting them all prettied up with their own unique designs.

That was not all… pumpkins were not the only thing that was being prettied up or should we say made up. Ghosts and ghouls appeared in and around the house over the next few days in the lead up to the big day.

Our team took to flying around the rooms on their broomsticks and faces became brighter and paler, and generally stranger, as Nurse Rebecca waved her magic wand and transformed everyday folk into vampires, witches and spiders!

Tracy Jepson, Home Manager said:

“At Moorlands we actively encourage fun activities such as these as not only does it provide enjoyment and laughter but we know it brings people together, stimulates conversation and enables interaction between our team, residents, their friends and families. We enjoy getting our team and residents involved in events and it was so much fun for all involved.”
