Miss Show Business at Firtree

Showtime came to Firtree in Royal Tunbridge Wells, today with the girls from Redgate productions. Residents enjoyed their rendition of popular show tunes and the girls had everyone singing along.

Redgate productions is a small-scale production company that brings a Show Time Experience to those that are unable to attend theatre themselves. With a whole host of well-known songs, brightly coloured costumes, props and lots of audience interaction, a wonderful trip down memory lane is created.

Miss show business is the extraordinary tale of the queen of international stardom herself, Judy Garland. It is the most funfilled show from the girls, where they show the life story of Judy through her musical films. They move from one musical to the next and there is plenty of costume changes to keep people engaged.

Everyone at Firtree thoroughly enjoyed the show, including the staff. It was great to see all of the residents enjoying themselves and singing along. After the show all residents were given a small Easter egg for a little Easter gift, everyone was extremely grateful and pleased with these.

The whole event was such a success, the girls even managed to get one of the residents to do a solo performance for everybody.  We look forward to seeing the girls again in the future.

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update
To Whom it may concern,

RE: A message from the CEO and Clinical Director

At Caring Homes we are following the latest Government advice and stopping visitors to all our homes, except for essential visits by healthcare professionals who will be required to adhere to strict protocols.

We understand that this may be very difficult for families but we are clear in our duty to ensure we protect the health, safety and wellbeing of our Residents and Colleagues as our top priority.

We want you to know that you can contact your loved ones through calls, emails, video and social media and we will support our Residents to view any messages you send over. We are confident that the teams in our homes are doing all they can to ensure that life remains as comfortable and sociable as possible. There will be a full programme of activities delivered by our in-house health and wellbeing teams.

We hope you will understand and support these actions and any further subsequent measures we might need to put in place.

Yours sincerely
