Miranda House invite you to our free Dementia Awareness event

Miranda House would like to invite you to our Dementia Awareness Event on Wednesday 15th February 2017.

There will be two sessions on the day:

10am – 12:30pm – for the local community

2pm – 4:30pm – for local businesses

These free sessions are for anyone wishing to explore what dementia is and meet others to share your experiences. The event will include the following topics…

  • What is dementia and how it is diagnosed
  • Hints and tips to improve communication and help challenge the way people think, act and talk about the condition
  • Practical session to understand some of the some of the day-to day frustrations that can affect a person living with dementia.

At Miranda House we actively promote a dementia friendly community through sharing the knowledge and skills of our staff.
