Magnificent CQC results for Magna Care Centre!

The staff and residents of Magna Care Centre in Wimborne were celebrating this week as they received top marks in their latest inspection by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

Following a review of the inspection process in recent years, five areas of the business are now inspected which assess how well the service is treating people with respect, quality of care provision, safeguarding and safety, staffing and management of the service.

The purpose built home, part of the family-owned Caring Homes Group, has demonstrated the highest possible levels of care delivery having met or exceeded the required standards in all of the above areas.

As part of the process, CQC inspectors spoke to residents, relatives and members of staff at the Canford Magna home. The home demonstrated full compliance in all areas with very positive feedback including one resident telling inspectors ‘they look after me very well.’

Magna Care Centre Manager, Heidi Williams told us:

‘We are delighted that the hard work done each and every day by our team has been recognised through this positive report. We have a tightly knit staff team here and we put the Service Users at the heart of everything we do.

First and foremost, Magna Care Centre is our residents’ home. It is a pleasure to provide a service for so many wonderful people, but it is always nice to hear that you’re getting things right!’

Located in the picturesque village of Canford Magna, near Wimborne Magna Care Centre provides residential and specialist nursing care for up to 65 elderly people. The home is run by the family-owned Caring Homes Group, which was founded in 1994 by mother and son team, Helena and Paul Jeffery.
