Magna welcome a little donkey this Christmas

The residents at Magna Care Centre in Wimborne enjoyed a very festive treat this week.

A visiting donkey named Jazz said hello to residents, family members and the care team in the lounge and then visited a few rooms.

Calm, gentle and quiet donkeys are lovely animals to have visiting Magna and are welcomed with open arms. Jazz brought a big smile to the faces of the residents she met, allowing them to peacefully stroke her fur. She even continued into the home to see residents that were unable to get out of bed.

Donkeys bring back happy memories for some residents, who remember a seaside holiday and the donkeys on the beach, and enjoy discussing it into the afternoon.

Everyone loved Jazz and luckily we had no accidents !

The Magna nursing home in Wimborne is a stunning Care Centre providing residential and specialist nursing care for up to 63 elderly residents.
