MacMillan Coffee Morning at Knowle Park

The residents of Knowle Park Retirement home in Cranleigh held their very own MacMillan Coffee Morning recently in aid of the MacMillan Cancer Support charity.

Macmillan Cancer Support provides specialist health care, information and financial support to people affected by cancer. As well as the medical needs the charity also looks into the social, emotional and practical impact cancer can have.

The morning event took place in the bright and airy conservatory at the home and had a lovely atmosphere. Along with drinking lots of tea and coffee and enjoying some delicious homemade shortbread, a number of residents shared their own emotional stories. There was also a raffle organised in which many of the residents participated. The whole event was a great success and raised over £85 for Macmillan.

 

Knowle Park is a magnificent early 19th century Manor House on the outskirts of Cranleigh, Surrey, that has been lovingly restored to provide residential and nursing care of distinction for up to 43 elderly ladies and gentlemen.
