Knowle Park Charity Raffle a success

The local community was out in force to support a charity raffle hosted by Knowle Park care home in Cranleigh recently, in aid of the Stroke Association.

The 19th Century Manor House is part of the Caring Homes Group, who launched their charitable partnership in October with the aim of raising tens of thousands of pounds for the charity. Many of the care staff have worked hard to arrange a series of events to raise both awareness and funds for the Stroke Association throughout October and November.

The raffle itself included a number of prizes generously donated by local businesses, such as hairdressing sessions and restaurant vouchers. The residents of Knowle Park contributed to the day by baking and serving cookies for everyone who attended.

In total the event raised over £85 and Knowle Park manager, Netra Longhurst told us:

‘We are so happy that the day was such a success. Everyone had a great time and we raised some valuable money for a worthwhile cause. I would like to thank everyone who was involved in organising the event, along with the local community for supporting it as always.’

Located on the outskirts of Cranleigh in Surrey, the home Knowle Park is a magnificent early 19th century Manor House on the outskirts of Cranleigh, Surrey, which has been lovingly restored to provide residential and nursing care of distinction for up to 43 elderly ladies and gentlemen.
