Jim’s still rocking Bradbury House at 84

Residents and staff at Bradbury House in Braintree joined in celebrating the birthday of James (Jim) Hickman recently, the home’s longest standing resident.

A special Rock and Roll themed party was organised in Jim’s honour, with the Bradbury House staff and children from the local high school donning fancy dress as they joined in with the party games and a rock and roll rendition of ‘Happy Birthday’.

Jim was heard to say he ‘felt like royalty’ as the celebrations carried on in to the evening with live entertainment and a special tea of Jim’s choice.

Located in the heart of the historic town of Braintree, Bradbury House was the very first home in the Caring Homes family. The home dates in part from the 17th century and, following a comprehensive and sympathetic conversion, retains many original features whilst providing an outstanding residential care setting. Bradbury House enjoys an enviable reputation for delivering the very highest standard of residential care in a homely environment for up to 21 elderly people.
