‘I’m a resident, get me out of here!’

Knowle Park invited ‘Zoolab’ to bring a slice of the jungle to Cranleigh this week and they brought a wide variety of critters with them – the only thing missing from the day was Geordie duo Ant and Dec.

Zoolab is not your average petting zoo; there were no cuddly animals in sight. Instead, Linn the animal handler brought a range of exotic animals including African snails, giant cockroaches, albino rats, snakes and even a tarantula.

The animals were passed around the room giving residents plenty of opportunity to have a good look at the animals, with some people even brave enough to handle them. Linn provided fascinating facts about all of the animals that she had brought with her and the interactive session proved very popular.

Knowle Park is a magnificent early 19th century Manor House on the outskirts of Cranleigh, Surrey, that has been lovingly restored to provide residential and nursing care of distinction for up to 43 elderly ladies and gentlemen.
