Hulcott celebrates successful Christmas party

The conservatory was the venue for the annual Christmas Party held at Hulcott this week.

With residents, relatives, staff and guests all in attendance, the party kicked off with a swing thanks to Don Gently, a local musician who entertained the room with his own style of Christmas music, festive songs and carols. The residents didn’t need much encouragement to join in with the singalong, after which they were more than ready for the mulled wine and mince pies that had been prepared by the home’s chef.

The raffle featured some much sought after prizes including three luxury hampers, which had been donated by residents’ friends and relatives, as well as two Christmas cakes that were made and decorated by the Manager and her daughter. The substantial raffle proceeds were donated to the residents’ fund, which will support the organisation of many trips and activities throughout 2014 and Home Manager Margaret Smart was keen to thank everyone involved:

‘I have been overwhelmed by the generosity of everyone who has supported the raffle and donated gifts for the hamper, we are all so grateful!’

Located in the peaceful village of Hulcott itself, the home provides excellent residential and nursing care for up to 38 elderly ladies and gentlemen
