Hulcott awards Care Certificate

Margaret Smart, Home Manager at Hulcott was proud to present the Care Certificate to Jo Mitchell, one of our Care Assistants.

The Care Certificate is a set of standards that social care and health workers stick to in their daily working life.

The Care Certificate was developed jointly by Skills for Care, Health Education England and Skills for Health. It:

  • applies across social care and health
  • links to National Occupational Standards and units in qualifications
  • covers what is needed to be caring – giving workers a good basis from which they can develop their knowledge and skills.

Jo joined the team at Hulcott in August 2015 and has since become one of our most caring carers and is a firm favourite with our residents, who benefit from her dedication, compassion and professional attitude.

Margaret is very proud of her care team and commented:

“We build our care team at Hulcott to ensure they are able to provide person centred care and spend valuable time with our residents. To be able to recognise and award a member of our team is great and a visible sign of our ongoing aim to continually develop and improve all of our team’s skills. Well done Jo.”

When not at Hulcott, Jo likes to keep fit by long distance running, triathlons and swimming and when time allows on a more relaxed note, Jo likes to spend her time reading.
