Horsell Lodge welcomes local community for National Care Home Open Day

Local Horsell Lodge care home threw its doors open this Friday to host a vintage Victorian tea party in support of National Care Home Open Day (NCHOD).

The Kettlewell Hill home, part of the Caring Homes group, used the event as an opportunity to get to know the local community further through hosting the colourful event.

The staff and residents were joined by the Mayor and Mayoress as they enjoyed live entertainment to accompany the host of cakes that were donated and created specially for the occasion.

Horsell Lodge Manager Jane Starr was delighted with the support shown for the event:

‘Today was a fantastic opportunity to give people a taste of life at Horsell Lodge.

We were delighted to welcome all of our guests including the Mayor and Mayoress, and I am grateful to everyone who took the time to join us today .’

Located in the peaceful village of Horsell, the grand Victorian and Edwardian property provides residential care for up to 40 elderly ladies and gentlemen. Horsell Lodge is run by the family-owned Caring Homes Group, which was founded in 1994 by mother and son team, Helena and Paul Jeffery.
