Horsell Lodge residents enjoy ‘peace and tranquility’ of the River Wey

With summer in full bloom, some of the residents of Horsell Lodge took advantage of the picturesque local area to embark on a Swingbridge canal trip recently.

Upon arriving at their destination in Guildford, the group was greeted by their skipper for the day and his crew. Safely on board and with the kettle on, they set off along the River Wey for a day of cruising.

Everyone enjoyed the peace and tranquility of the canal trip, away from the hustle and bustle of daily life, along with the chance to see Guildford from a different perspective. There was also plenty of time to reminisce about ‘the old days’ and how much things have changed on the waterways.

Situated in the delightful village of Horsell, Horsell Lodge is a grand period property providing residential care of distinction for up to 40 elderly ladies and gentlemen.
