Horsell Lodge games afternoon goes global

The residents of Horsell Lodge were in the competitive spirit during one of their games afternoons recently as they enjoyed a giant game of scrabble and a game of snakes and ladders.

They were particularly pleased that their scrabble game went global when a photo of the board was sent to a friend in Leeds, who played a word before passing it on to Malta, where a relative also joined in the fun.

A member of the staff team designed the supersized scrabble board so that the whole room could see it from a distance, enabling everyone to join in.

After the hard-fought scrabble tournament, they enjoyed a light-hearted game of snakes and ladders.
