Horsell Lodge Cinema Night

Residents at Horsell Lodge Care Home enjoyed a special showing of Les Miserables after our lounge was transformed into a cinema.

The room was rearranged to accommodate a projector and sound equipment and, after producing their homemade tickets, our residents entered the auditorium and settled themselves down.

To make sure our residents had a complete reminiscence experience, popcorn and individual ice cream pots with little scoops were served during the interval by our very own usherette, Karen.

The film was thoroughly enjoyed by both residents and staff. One resident said: “It was just like when we went to the picture house, only the chairs were more comfortable here.”

We are busy deciding which film we would like to watch next.
