Hawkhill House’s Kasia Domanska Named Joint Winner of Care Home Newcomer Award

Kasia Domanska, Senior Care Assistant, at Hawkhill House care home in Milltimber, has been named joint winner of the Care Newcomer Award in Caring Homes’ Scottish Recognition Awards.

The awards were presented at a ceremony on 3rd August 2016 at Marchglen Care Centre, recognising and celebrating excellence amongst the care group’s seven Scottish homes.

Kasia was nominated by relatives of a resident at Hawkhill who described her as ’a joy to watch’, and was selected for the award because of her positive impact on care at the home. Situated on Deeside Road, Hawkhill House provides nursing and dementia care for up to 43 elderly people.

Mel Shearer, Home Manager at Hawkhill, said: “Kasia quickly showed her capability and was soon promoted to her present position. She is always thinking of the wellbeing of the residents and we are fortunate to have her as a member of our team.”
