Gladys at Firtree invited to afternoon tea with children

Firtree House Nursing Home in Royal Tunbridge Wells, enjoys great links with the local community which enables residents to attend celebrations and events in the community.

Gladys was invited by a local children’s nursery to go for afternoon tea which she thoroughly looked forward to, she wanted to take a gift with her for the children and decided that books would be great idea to help them learn, and she could also read to them.

The children had in turn had kindly made her a story book with pictures that they had drawn and painted themselves. Gladys was also presented with a lovely bunch of flowers which she was delighted with. Gladys said she had a really enjoyed her trip to the nursery and hoped she could go again soon. As Gladys had just celebrated her 100th Birthday it meant that one of the oldest members of the town, met with some of the youngest members.

Firtree House provides specialist nursing care in a purpose built environment for up to 42 elderly people.
