Garth House enjoy The Most Wonderful Time of the Year this Christmas

At Garth House Nursing Home in Dorking, Surrey, just like the song, we had ‘The Most Wonderful Time of the Year’ at our Christmas Party.

Everyone had a great time and we were delighted to welcome relatives and friends to join us for this festive occasion.

‘There was lots of ‘good cheer….
With those holiday greetings and gay happy meetings.
When friends come to call,
it’s the hap-happiest season of all!’

Everyone joined in with a rousing and cheery rendition of ‘The 12 Days of Christmas’, complete with some attendees performing actions and the odd giggle or two.

A delicious buffet was created and served by our Catering and Hospitality team (pictured) and judging by the contented smiles from all around, everyone had a fabulously festive time and were full of Christmas cheer.

We are very proud of our team here from Housekeeping to our Carers, who pulled out all the stops to make sure that it was such a great party for everyone. Relatives even joined in and we would like to say a huge thank you to all who joined us and supported us in making this special occasion such a success for everyone.

From all of us here at Garth House, we hope your New Year is filled with success, health, prosperity and happiness. Happy New Year!

The two ladies in the photo are our two members of Activities team, Natalia and Monika and we are looking forward to lots more fun with them over Christmas and New Year. They have told us watch out in 2018, there’s going to be lots going on here at Garth House and we can’t wait…

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update
To Whom it may concern,

RE: A message from the CEO and Clinical Director

At Caring Homes we are following the latest Government advice and stopping visitors to all our homes, except for essential visits by healthcare professionals who will be required to adhere to strict protocols.

We understand that this may be very difficult for families but we are clear in our duty to ensure we protect the health, safety and wellbeing of our Residents and Colleagues as our top priority.

We want you to know that you can contact your loved ones through calls, emails, video and social media and we will support our Residents to view any messages you send over. We are confident that the teams in our homes are doing all they can to ensure that life remains as comfortable and sociable as possible. There will be a full programme of activities delivered by our in-house health and wellbeing teams.

We hope you will understand and support these actions and any further subsequent measures we might need to put in place.

Yours sincerely
