Galsworthy tap the day away

The residents and care team at Galsworthy House care home with nursing in Kingston upon Thames welcomed back our tap dancer Katie who was with us in the summer.

The residents gathered together in the living room where Katie had set up her equipment for the special Christmas dance and singing show, and they watched in awe as she warmed up by doing the splits!

She began the show by tap dancing to “All that jazz” and “Life is a Cabaret”, these are songs loved by the residents who remembered the film with Gene Kelly and Debbie Reynolds. They all tapped along with her, although none of us could keep up!

Katie added a Christmas theme to the day by singing along to “Here comes Santa Clause “, “White Christmas ” and ” Little drummer boy”, in the spirit of Christmas it was thoroughly enjoyed as the residents sang, clapped and tapped there feet.

Katie ended with “Singing in the rain ” in which she tap danced, we look forward to seeing her in March
