Fun-filled activities at Magna Care Centre

Hook a duck, bouncing Ping-Pong balls and hoopla were just some of the activities recently enjoyed during a fun day at a Canford Magna care centre.

Residents and their visitors enjoyed an action packed day when they took part in a range of fun games at Magna Care Centre.

Every time someone ‘hooked a duck’ or knocked over a tin can they awarded points, which were totaled up during the course of the activities.

Magna Care Centre’s manager, Heidi Williams, said the day was a huge success and thankfully the rain held off. She commented:

“It was a really lovely day, particularly because we had a lot of our resident’s younger relatives taking part in the activities as well. Our residents had fun too – especially two of our residents who became particularly engrossed in hooking the ducks. We were also lucky enough to have ‘The Pastimers’ singing songs to us.’

A barbecue, cakes, cups of tea and a visit from an ice cream van rounded off the day. Raffle winners, who were either resident’s grandchildren or great-children, scooped a selection of donated prizes.

Located in the picturesque village of Canford Magna, near Wimborne, Magna Care Centre provides residential and specialist nursing care for up to 65 elderly people
