Full Marks for Mill House

 Staff at Mill House Care Home were celebrating this week as they received top marks in their latest inspection by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

Following a review of the inspection process in recent years, five areas of the business are now inspected which assess how well the service is treating people with respect, quality of care provision, safeguarding and safety, staffing and management of the service.

The purpose-built home, located on Sheep Street, Chipping Campden, has achieved the highest possible levels of care delivery having met the required standards in all of the above areas.

As part of the process, CQC inspectors spoke to residents, relatives and members of staff. The home demonstrated full compliance in all areas with special mention made of the high standard of care delivered.

Mill House Manager, Sherrie Hume told us:

“We are delighted that the hard work done each and every day by our team has been recognised through this positive report. I have only been in post a few months, but it is clear that there is a tightly knit staff unit here and we try to put the Service Users at the heart of everything we do.

First and foremost Mill House is our residents home. It is a pleasure to provide a service for so many wonderful people, but it is always nice to hear that you’re getting things right!”

Mill House is run by the family-owned Caring Homes Group, which was founded in 1994 by mother and son team, Helena and Paul Jeffery. Located at the heart of Chipping Campden, the purpose-built care home provides nursing and specialist nursing care for up to 45 elderly people.
