French Day proves a favourite at Hulcott

There was an air of european elegance at Hulcott this week as the residents and staff took part in an interactive French day at the grand Buckinghamshire home.

As traditional French music filled the air, the residents were invited to try a selection of French cheeses and wine spritzers. Some of the residents showed impressive linguistic skills as they recalled favourite French phrases and everyone enjoyed sharing stories of visits across the Channel.

During the afternoon a themed quiz was held and the activities team gave an interesting talk explaining why cheese and wine are traditionally enjoyed together, before everyone tucked into the traditional treats of Chocolate Éclairs and French Fancies.

Located in the peaceful village of the same name, Hulcott is a 19th Century house providing residential and specialist nursing care for up to 38 elderly ladies and gentlemen.
