Entertainment at Belmont House

The residents at Belmont House in Sutton this month have been joined by a number of entertainers.

We were joined by Thomas Delieu playing his guitar and singing for a 70’s themed party. The residents thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon, singing along to popular songs such as ‘Dancing Queen’, ‘Superstition’ and ‘Stayin’ Alive’ and dancing the afternoon away.

We were also visited by the popular singer Barry Stevens, he came to entertain everyone singing a range of popular songs from the Rat Pack.

Music is very therapeutic and a great way for our residents to make a connection with each other and the care team. The tunes Barry sings always receive a great response from the residents, helping them reminisce providing a lot of discussions after the event. Everyone had a good sing along and those that could got up to dance, otherwise there was a lot of toe and finger tapping.

Belmont House provides specialist residential, nursing and dementia care in a purpose built environment.
