Easter celebrations at Strathview

The residents at Strathview in Auchtermuchty have enjoyed a weekend of Easter celebrations.

The residents have been making cards as a group which was a great way to encourage idea sharing and stimulate creativity as they decided on the pictures they wanted to draw and design to go on the front and write their heartfelt messages inside. For some this is an important celebration. The cards were put on display at Strathview before they used them for friends and family that visited over the weekend.

As well as the cards the residents made Easter Bonnets which went down a treat s they chose a hat colour and what they wanted to decorate it with. Feathers were a popular option, the dining room ended up looking like it had been attacked by a chicken!

The residents, friends, family and care team members enjoyed an Easter High Tea at lunch time with home made cakes and cream tea scones, whilst the residents wore the hats that they had been decorating.

Strathview provides specialist residential and dementia care in a purpose built environment for up to 25 elderly people.
