Easter Celebrations at Ivy Court

The staff and residents at Ivy Court Care Home in Norwich have been celebrating Easter in style with various activities and entertainment for everyone to enjoy. Here are some of the highlights…

The home had a wonderful dance performance from their regular dance group GlowKidz. The group come to the home most school holidays to show what they have been practicing in rehearsals. They are so full of energy that the staff and residents can’t help but enjoy their performance and join in with the fun. The leader of the group is a relative of resident that had come to stay on a respite basis and she was so grateful for the love and care she received whilst at the home she offered to come with the kids on a voluntary basis – which is fantastic and appreciated.

On Good Friday the residents and staff made some traditional polish Easter Eggs. After boiling up the eggs we used special food dye to coat the eggs to make them bright in colour. After all the hard work everyone got to enjoy a lovely Hot Cross Bun.

On Easter Sunday everyone had the opportunity to take part in an Easter Bonnet craft activity and competition. The home manager Paul Vincent judged the entries and Anne Tomalin won the top prize a larger luxury Easter Egg. Great fun was had by all!

At Ivy Court we provide specialist residential, nursing and dementia care in a purpose built environment. We continuously improve the lives of our residents through offering wide ranging services, activities and events, both in and outside of the home involving members of our local community as often as possible.

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update
To Whom it may concern,

RE: A message from the CEO and Clinical Director

At Caring Homes we are following the latest Government advice and stopping visitors to all our homes, except for essential visits by healthcare professionals who will be required to adhere to strict protocols.

We understand that this may be very difficult for families but we are clear in our duty to ensure we protect the health, safety and wellbeing of our Residents and Colleagues as our top priority.

We want you to know that you can contact your loved ones through calls, emails, video and social media and we will support our Residents to view any messages you send over. We are confident that the teams in our homes are doing all they can to ensure that life remains as comfortable and sociable as possible. There will be a full programme of activities delivered by our in-house health and wellbeing teams.

We hope you will understand and support these actions and any further subsequent measures we might need to put in place.

Yours sincerely

Paul Jeffery – Chief Executive Officer

Frank Cummins – Clinical Director
