East Hill House celebrates soaring sunflowers

Earlier this year, East Hill House decided to hold a sunflower growing competition for residents who wanted to take part.
Those who entered planted a sunflower seed in the front garden and have been lovingly looking after their plant ever since.

This month the plants started to flower and the ‘owner’ of the tallest one was promised a prize. Growing to three and a half feet, Joan Randall’s splendid sunflower was awarded first prize, with the prize an afternoon cream tea out with Activities Coordinator. Miss Randall was very pleased with her win and is already looking forward to her afternoon out.

Located in the village of Liss, East Hill House provides high quality residential and specialist dementia care for up to 35 elderly people in a unique setting.
