LISS CARE HOME HAS A BLOOMING GREAT TEA PARTY

Staff, residents, their families and members of the local community visited East Hill House in Liss to enjoy a Blooming Great Tea Party in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care.

Everyone enjoyed a delectable high tea, with fresh home baked scones, jam and cream, a range of cupcakes along with a beautiful selection of sandwiches. Guests had the pleasure of spending a long and luxurious afternoon out on the home’s decking in the sunshine.

East Hill House in Liss provides nursing and residential care for up to 44 elderly people and is run by the family-owned Caring Homes Group. Mother and son team Helena and Paul Jeffery founded Caring Homes in 1994 and the Group has grown to become a leading independent care provider in the UK.

Blooming Great Tea Parties in aid of Marie Curie are being held up and down the country until July 12. Every £20 pounds raised pays for an hour of Marie Curie nursing care. Last year, tea parties raised enough money to fund 30,200 hours of care.

Activities Coordinator, Roz Green said;

“Everyone at East Hill House loved the tea party, it was a gorgeous sunny day and our chefs did a fabulous job and put on scrumptious spread.”

East Hill House Manager, Clare Hall said;

“Ensuring that residents are involved in a broad range of interesting, engaging and fun activities is really what we are all about. The fact that the event raised money to go towards the fantastic work that Marie Curie does, made the day all the more enjoyable.”
