Dementia Awareness Event Oak Manor

Oak Manor care home in Scarning, Norfolk are delighted to invite you to our free Dementia Awareness Events on Thursday 14th September 2017.

Date:     Thursday 14th September 2017

Time:    10.00am – 12.30pm for the local community
2.00pm – 4.30pm for local businesses, groups and organisations

Where: Yaxham Village Hall, 12 Norwich Road, Yaxham, Dereham, NR19 1RJ

These free sessions are open for anyone wishing to explore what dementia is and to meet others to share your experiences. The event will include the following topics…

  • What is dementia and how it is diagnosed
  • Hints and tips to improve communication and help challenge the way people think, act and talk about the condition
  • Practical session to understand some of the day-to day frustrations that can affect a person living with dementia.

At Oak Manor we actively promote a dementia friendly community through sharing the knowledge and skills of our staff.
