Coffee and cake for charity at Rectory House

The residents of Rectory House were joined by friends, relatives and the local community this week as they took part in the ‘World’s Biggest Coffee Morning’ in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.

The annual event raised over £90 for the national charity, with entertainment including ‘guess the weight of the cake’ won by resident Jane Hughes, music and a cake sale.

Macmillan Cancer Support works hard to provide medical, emotional, practical and financial support available to those living with cancer and their loved ones. According to Macmillan, the £90 raised by Rectory House could pay for a Macmillan social worker or family support worker for half a day, helping people manage the social and practical problems of living with cancer.

Located in the attractive village of Sompting, Rectory House is a grand care home providing residential and nursing care for elderly people.
