Claydon House’s mobile bar opens for business

Activities Coordinator Lori treated the residents of Claydon House to a selection of the finest drinks and bar snacks courtesy of a clever conversion. A number of the residents helped Lori in transforming a redundant medication trolley into a ‘mobile bar’, opening up a range of drink and snack options for everybody, whether in communal areas or in the comfort of their own room. Together they lined the trolley, decorated it and filled it with a selection of pub favourites including wine, beer, soft drinks, crisps, peanuts and even pork scratchings. The trolley was well received by everyone at the Lewes home and whilst not everyone partook in a drink, they were all pleased to see the trolley and be included. Located on a quiet residential crescent at the heart of Lewes, Claydon House provides care and nursing support for up to 47 people.
