Claydon House Resident is 102 years young!

One of Claydon House’s residents Marienne “Trudy” Shubotham became 102 years young today.

She loves a trip out with other residents and enjoys cake so to celebrate her birthday, we took Trudy to a seaside café with spectacular views of the sea.

Trudy’s family, fellow residents, Claydon House care team, as well as the café staff, all joined us in wishing her well with a rousing rendition of “Happy Birthday”.

Trudy managed to eat 2 pieces of cake and a lovely tea party was enjoyed by all. The staff at the café were very accommodating and “were honoured” to have Trudy celebrate her birthday there. Trudy’s family remarked that it was great that Trudy was still enjoying going out.

Annie Hailey, Activities Coordinator said:
“Trudy has been at Claydon House since 2010 and we are so delighted that at 102, she is still able to enjoy a trip out with family and staff.”
