Christmas Pottery at Mellish House

To get into the Christmas spirit residents at Mellish House Care Home made some festive pottery. Shaun our visiting pottery teacher helped residents and the children from Potkiln Road school make an array of snowmen and Santa’s for Christmas.

Once a month the children come to share an activity with our residents, this is a lively and exiting time for everyone and leaves us all invigorated and exhausted in equal measures.

The next time the children visit will be Shrove Tuesday and pancake tossing will be the order of the day.

Mellish House Care Home is a purpose-built home providing residential care for up to 48 elderly residents living with a form of dementia.
