Chinese Church at Ivy Court

On Sunday 6th December the Ivy Court residents welcomed the Sunday school children from the local Chinese church who came in to sing Christmas songs for them.

The Sunday school children kindly brought presents for all our residents including the residents that weren’t able to make it to the service. The children looked really festive wearing tinsel around their heads and arms, and Christmas hats. The children sang to the residents which they all really enjoyed, most of the residents sang along and remembered happy feelings for the time of year.

After they were finished singing all the children stayed for drinks and biscuits. They also went round and met all the residents and said “Merry Christmas”. We have been invited to their carol service at the church on the 20th December.

Singing and children bring such happiness to our residents it is great to see everyone getting involved, so a massive thank you to the local Chinese church!
