Celebrate National Care Home Open Day at Laverstock Care Centre

Come along and enjoy cupcakes and coffee at Laverstock Care Centre on Thursday June 15th to celebrate National Care Home Open Day and the Alzheimer’s Society Cupcake Day.

The coffee and cupcake morning at Laverstock Care Centre, London Road, Salisbury will take place from 10am until midday so pop along and join in the fun.

Home manager Helen Pessell said; “The team at Laverstock are proud of our home and proud of our links with the community.

“As part of National Care Home Open Day and to help raise money for the Alzheimer’s Society we would like people to spend some time with us, enjoy coffee and homemade cake, meet our residents and team and discover what our home is all about.

“Some of our residents will be getting prepared for the day by making cupcakes and other tray bakes in our regular activity sessions.”

National Care Home Open Day is an annual UK wide initiative inviting care homes to open their doors to the local community. Thousands of care homes across the UK take part, welcoming the public and arranging events and activities that help to create lasting links between care home residents and their local communities.

The event is all about connecting people and showing what excellent care homes are really about, how they can be at the centre of local communities and develop relationships across the generations.

The Alzheimer’s Society Cupcake Day is a national event which aims to raise money to fight dementia.

Laverstock Care Centre is part of the Caring Homes Group, offers nursing, residential and dementia care for up to 80 elderly residents.

If you would like to attend our event, kindly RSVP on 0808 223 5520 or email manager.laverstock@caringhomes.org.
