Cathy Struthers Entertains Marchglen

The residents from Marchglen in Clackamannanshire were visited by Cathy Struthers Entertainment this week.

On the lead up to Christmas Cathy visited us again to sing to the residents and care team. Bringing with her heaps of Christmas spirit she was infectious and had everyone singing and dancing along. Cathy has been a couple of times before and has always been a big hit with our residents, so we thought she would be a perfect line up for Christmas.

Singing Christmas carols and those long forgotten songs we sung when we were young such as ‘Rudolph the red nosed reindeer’, ‘Deck the halls’, ‘We wish you a merry Christmas’, and ’12 days of Christmas’ to name a few, on this visit Cathy even dueted with Elizabeth resident to Jingle Bells.

Marchglen provides nursing care in a purpose built environment for up to 36 people in four small homes within the grounds. Each home provides different types of care and support including physical disabilities, learning disabilities and challenging behaviours in both young adults and elderly.

If you would like to find out more about life at Marchglen and the care we offer, or to request a meeting with our Home Manager, please contact us on 0808 223 5522 or marchglen@CaringHomes.org.
