We are delighted to announce Caring Homes have been shortlisted as finalists across seven categories for the National Care Home Awards 2022.
Returning for the 24th year, the Awards, organised by social care publication Caring Times Magazine, celebrate the very best people in the long-term care sector, highlighting excellence and rewarding those who work tirelessly to provide consistently outstanding care.
Our finalists are:
Care Home Manager - Norah Davey, Cranmer Court
Awarded to an exceptional manager who demonstrates a high level of expertise in managing the services of the home to the benefit of residents, staff and their local community.
Care Registered Nurse - Cherelle Henery, Cranmer Court
This award will be made to a registered nurse who has made long term care their area of professional specialisation and demonstrated a high level of dedication to, and advocacy for, the people they support.
Care Newcomer - Cyndi Edwards, Blenheim Court Care Home
Awarded to someone who is new to the sector in the last 24 months and already delivering the very best standard of care.
Carer - Corrine Collis, Bradbury House
For the person who recognises the vital role of the care assistant in providing quality care through dedication, kindness, sensitivity, and career progress through training.
Care Home Design of the Year - Brook House
This award will acknowledge an outstanding and innovative care home that puts emphasis on a homely and welcoming atmosphere, great care and wellbeing, while also maximising infection control. Brook House was honoured earlier this year with a Pinders Healthcare design award for its innovative design and use of technology.
Business Initiative of the Year - My World Accreditation
Recognising a forward-thinking care group that has created and implemented a specific project/s to support staff and improve outcomes for individuals over the past year. Our MyWorld dementia training is City & Guilds accredited and highlights the importance of meaningful activities and a stimulating environment for people living with dementia, as well as addressing clinical aspects of care.
Care Home Group Over 10 settings - Caring Homes
This award will go to an outstanding care group with eleven or more care homes which is able to evidence exceptional client care combined with excellent staff development and impressive financial results.
The awards ceremony is due to take place on 26th
November at the Park Plaza in London.
