Caring Homes ‘top out’ at Kingsclear

Kingsclear care home in Camberley reached a new milestone in its development this week, with a topping out ceremony to signify the final stages of its rebuild by Caring Homes.

The final roof tile was fitted by Surrey Heath Mayor John Winterton in the presence of building contractors MP Brothers with colleagues from Caring Homes, to celebrate this achievement.

The Mayor – who attended the event with the Lady Mayoress, his wife Di – said; “I want to thank Caring Homes for inviting me to this marvellous topping out ceremony which is something I haven’t done before. I have seen many care homes at the stage when they have residents but not at the formation stage.

“I am glad to see Kingsclear is a new build home as that gives the best opportunity for top notch care – which I am sure the future residents will enjoy here. There are a number of good care homes in Camberley and I am sure Kingsclear will rank among them.

Donna Boobyer, Senior Commissioning Manager for Caring Homes said: “It is very exciting for everyone involved that we have reached this milestone at Kingsclear. We will now all be working hard to get the home fitted out inside and recruit staff ready to welcome our first residents later this year.”

This brand new, luxury care home is due to open in summer. Conveniently located in the affluent Surrey suburb of Camberley, Kingsclear is designed around the needs of its residents and will provide the highest level of residential, nursing and dementia care for up to 90 residents.

Kingsclear has been designed to create a home with generous space but which also feels like home for residents and their friends and families.  The building design allows staff to provide the highest levels of care, as well as comfort and wellbeing for residents.  The development itself complements the existing mix of surrounding buildings while ultimately having a unique character of its own.

Communal facilities will include a bistro, hair and nail therapy room, activity room, cinema, quiet rooms, a library and a private dining room for residents and their visitors to enjoy at any time. There’s a choice of individually-designed bedroom schemes which all feature an en-suite wet room to promote independence and privacy. There will also be three ground floor suites available.

If you would like to see our home for yourself, we are currently taking bookings for personal tours prior to the marketing suite opening in April 2017.

Call us on Freephone 0808 223 5516 or visit the Kingsclear page and be the first to see what the home has to offer.
