Our festive competition winners are East Hill House and Abbeycrest Nursing Home
Congratulations go to the residents and care teams at East Hill House in Liss and Abbeycrest Nursing Home in Sonning Common for winning the Gingerbread House making competition our Homes were set this year by the Marketing Team.
The winning entries from East Hill House are pictured here and you can see some of the other entries below.

We were delighted to see so many pictures of the finished entries as well as pictures of the fun activity taking place at the Homes.
Managing Director Tracey Fletcher-Ray was asked to judge the competition and it was a tough decision to come up with the winners.
She said, “There were so many good entries it was lovely to see. Both Abbeycrest and East Hill House entries reminded me of a skiing village as they were beautifully displayed.”
Runners-up prizes will also be going to Cotman House, Dormy House, Horsell Lodge and Kingsclear so congratulations to everyone involved.
The Gingerbread House theme ties in with the latest Caring Homes marketing campaign which features one of the festive favourites as well as being a great activity for our residents stimulating smells, sights and memories of Christmastime.
From laying the foundations and cementing the walls to glazing and decorating, designs were discussed and a lot of fun was had by all as the activity encouraged the residents to be creative, at the same time honing their teamworking, socialisation and fine motor skills.
The festive scent of gingerbread started a lot of conversation and memories of baking and of how things have evolved over time. It was a whole home activity with many Home Managers getting involved in addition to other team members.
Some of the other fantastic entries are pictured below.
